Kloster Weltenburg’s Asam Bock is a most dangerous brew. Nearly black with reddish hints, this strong brew clocks in at 6.5% alcohol with a dry malty flavor that is all too drinkable especially when munching on some of the monk’s tasty homemade cheese. Combine this with a visit to the Asam brother’s dizzying chapel and you just might miss the boat back home.
