Schloss Rosenau is located in a fantastic park and it is tied up to the lineage Sachsen-Coburg and Gotha. It was built in the 16th century but in was modified in Neo Gothic style by Ernest I between 1806 and 1817. In the following here it became and hunting palace and a summer palace of the Coburg's.
Here you can buy seconds of the different Goebel items produced. There are some Hummel figurines you can purchase and then take back to the factory and have one of the demonstrators write whatever you want on it. It does require an additional 40-50 minute wait when you do that as they need to refire the figurine so the writing doesnt smear or wear off. Well worth the wait!
