This is one of my favorite buildings in Schweinfurt because its old. It is called "Heilig-Geist-Kirche" and was built between 1897 and 1902.

All your Bavarian dishes will be prepared to four star satisfaction. From sausages to steak, all are done to perfection. Enjoy a Chicken Maryland, Curried Turkey pan, Steak with Dijon, and much more. Dining is either indoors or on the patio.

Schweinfurt Nightlife

I think in 2011 Lime's changed its style to be more accommodating to Americans. I still live and work in Schweinfurt. I would offer to go find out how they make it for you. Here comes the bad news. I think it changed management again because now it's a TexMex restaurant. Sorry, if the recipe that KShezz listed isn't it you might never find out how Lime's use to make it.
I'll ask around at some other clubs and find out if any of the bartenders have any variations.

Below Brauhaus Am Markt, on Schweinfurt's market square, is a nightclub which plays various music blends including disco, rock-n-roll and Caribbean mix. They have a bar and a dance floor to kick up your heels.

Dress Code: No dress code. But I would suggest to dress appropriate for the themes of the night.

Schweinfurt Shopping

I just found this website. Man I wish I would have seen your post last year. There are at least 3 bio markts downtown Schweinfurt within walking distance of the Markt Square. Once is one block down the street from the Markt Square, walk down the street with McDonalds on your right and it is on the right across from the public bathrooms. The other one is from the Markt square again if you are standing at the Stadt Apoteke / Schweinfurt information with the Markt square on your left walk straight down the street toward the big parking garage. I think it's the last right hand street you can walk up before getting to the benches and the right that would take you to in front of the city wall. The third one which is my favorite is around the corner from Art&Style tattoo shop if you were walking down hill from the Rosemarkt square past the tattoo shop on your right and then you take the very next right hand turn to walk around the block.
If you are military stationed in Schweinfurt go by your local Outdoor Recreation on Conn Barracks there is a guy there with a beard that knows all about healthy eating, bio stores, climbing, hiking, you name it. Ask him.

What to buy: Franken Wines! Onion cake when it's the season smaller the town the better the cake. Try Maibach just outside of Schweinfurt at it's bread and wine fest. Pretty small very, very, good wood oven cooked.

Schweinfurt Favorites

Favorite thing: Schweinfurt did have a good sized US Army presence in the 80's. So they have some things that are american but not a lot. Mc Donalds of course. But they did not serve Beer unlike the one in Garmish. But it is right across the road from Ledward Barracks so of course it saw a lot of americans at lunch time. If you didn't know where to look, you would not have known the americans were there.

Fondest memory: They have a nice little Christmas market in December downtown. My favorite memory is the one Dec 6, my husband and I saw St Nickolus and his helper making the rounds of one of the neighborhoods one evening. All dressed up in his long robe trimmed in fur and they had a sack of goodies.
