the Olympic stamps of 1972 by globetrott For all fans of the Olympics and people interested in the very special construction of the Olympic tent of 1972, I may recommend to search for this "Briefmarkenblock Olympiade 1972" - a combination of several stamps inside a "miniature-sheet"
I bought mine in 1972, but I have still seen them recently in the shops in Munich and elsewhere.
It will depend, as it is a collectors item, but 5-8 Euro should be enough. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: Big department-stores like HERTIE, KARSTADT and KAUFHOF will sell them in their "Papierabteilung" next to the stationary and bureau-articles

Rothenburg ob der Tauber by globetrott Käthe Wohlfahrt is a Christmas-shop open all year long. Normally such a type of shop would not have any chance in Europe, except in a touristy place like Rothenburg.
All kinds of Christmas-articles - and they will also be shipped any place in the world.
Quite expensive, but who cares about the price of a christmas-present at eastertime ?? ;-) Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: In the very centre of Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Luhja sag i !!! by globetrott This is a shop close to Viktualienmarkt, opposite the Bratwurstherzerl-restaurant
Well, poor angel Aloisius, still in heaven, with his wings, singing not "Halleluja" like any ordinary angel - but in his best Bavarian he screams " Luhja sog i !! " and nobody understands him... He might make a great souvenir as an apron for someone, knowing the story of Aloisius and enough Bavarian to understand the nice kind of humor behind it
About 21 euro for this apron... Leave a Comment Theme: Men's ClothesDirections: close to Viktualienmarkt, in the small street going towards the street "Tal"

beer-mugs make a great souvenir by globetrott Beer-mugs make a great traditional bavarian souvenir. In the old times it was used to carry home some beer from the local inn, and of course it looks better to carry it inside a fancy mug with a top, so flies and bees stay outside. The biggest choice you certainly will have in Munich, you may even get them in departmentstores like Karstadt and Hertie.
If you have enough time, watch out for the prices, as they differ a lot !!
from 10 - 200 euros anything is possible, according to the size and equipment, as some have silver or tin-covers Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: This pic was taken at Hertie in Schützenstrasse / Munich

Lebkuchenherzen / Gingerbread by globetrott You mainly will be able topurchase them at Oktoberfest or other festivities all over Bavaria. A "Lebkuchenherz" with a traditional or more modern inscription always makes a great souvenir !
Get a gingerbread for your wife & Gf. You may sometimes see ladies of Bavaria walking home with their drunk husband / friend... ...BUT at least they got a gingerbread-heart with the inscription " I love you "
10 euro and more, depending on the size Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: TheresienwieseDirections: Lots of places all over Bavaria and especially on OktoberfestWebsite: www.oktoberfest.de
