herzogstand, Martinskopf by tessy Hiking is possible everythere. Be sure to have a good map. I always buy a map of Kompass. There are possibilities for hiking in the valley, near the lakes, but also in the mountains, climbing .... To say the truth. We didn't make the whole hiking tour this time, only the last few miles up on the top of the Herzogstand. But it was great anyway!
Be sure to have good shoes! Leave a Comment Theme: HikingDirections: Herzogstand and Martinskopf

Altmuehl by tessy Canoeying and biking in the Altmuehltal
There are lots of places where you can rent a canoe or a bike. Just depends on the distance you wanna do. For us, the river was a little bit too quiet, we hard to paddle hard to make a distance. Leave a Comment Theme: Kayaking/Canoeing

hiking up to some ruins in Pottenstein by richiecdisc Bavaria offers lots of great hiking opportunities from the Alps in the south to the Rhon and Frankische Schweiz in the north.
Besides good walking shoes and rain proof gear, it's always good to pack some food in case you find a nice place like these ruins for a picnic. Leave a Comment Theme: Hiking

Sailing on Chiemsee by globetrott Chiemsee is certainly the best place to go sailing and windsurfing in Bavaria ! The largest yacht-port is in Prien, where boats may also be rented.
Be prepared of quite strong winds sometimes ! Do not forget to enjoy the great apline panorama : The mountains in the back are around Salzburg and Berchtesgaden. Leave a Comment Theme: Boating/SailingDirections: Prien may easily be reached by train or by car, as the highway has its own exit called "Prien"

Elefantentreffen skiing system by marco2005 If you are a real biker, one who think that running on the snow maybe not hard enough... at the Elefantentreffen you can partecipate to the speed contest with a skiers tied at your tail. To win you have to pass over your skiier by one lap. If you are a skier, tired about skiing down the slope... at the Elefantentreffen you can be invited to rest holding a rope well tied to the tail of a motorcycle. Be aware that when you hear a roaring noise it is supposed that you hold the rope with all your vim.
Basically what you need is a rope. Theme: Skiing/Snowboarding
