Gili_S Says: This place is really small, of course you can just walk anywhere here. And of course, in the middle of the village there is a church, catholic I think but on a hot summer day, I didn’t bothered to check it out.
Gili_S Says: We had the pleasure to be guests in my friend own house. The house is very special as it was planned and builds by my friend. There are few unique systems in this house as rainwater collecting for washing and garden and solar system for water heating
Gili_S Says: Part of being a guest in a village is also cooking your own food, well, not most of the time, but for the kids was just great sitting outside near the fire and preparing their own meals.
Gili_S Says: Well, the nightlife here is surely different then in the city. Many farmers go to sleep as the sunset down. But as I was on holiday with the kids we surely had also evening programs as lightning torches and hanging around in the area. For the kids that was great adventure.
Gili_S Says: The big advantage of this small village, that they have a train stop here. This was very convenience for me when I wanted to take a short day trips to cities in the area as Regensburg, Neuburg, Ingolstadt and Donauwörth.
Gili_S Says: There are only few stores in this village, but the most important is this beer store. I felt like they are looking if I am from the moon when I stepped in with Netta, especially when they heard us talking. However, I bought here few excellent Bavarian beers, the very local...
Gili_S Says: Part of being a guest in a village is helping with the house and farm work. Here in a moment of break, Amos and Maya. So young, but you could already see the sparks in the eyes of those little kids ;-)
Gili_S Says: Do not drive too fast while in Strass, as it should be in a village the animals runs free and you just might drive over the neighbour chicken, get you into trouble and you do not want that do you?
Gili_S Says: The area is very rural, you can walk in the fields and forest and also go to swim in one of the many small lakes here. Compare to Finland, the water were not cold at all here.
Gili_S Says: Like everywhere in Germany, football is the main sport, even is a small village as Strass. This is the football ground in the village, seeing such a facility in such a small place made me very jealous as I could rarely play on any grass as a child.
Gili_S Says: Strass is just a village in Bavaria not far from the city of Neuburg an der DonauThere is no special reason to visit here besides having good friends that inviting you, well, at list that was in my case.
