A car comes in very handy in traveling around Bavaria, especially in getting to all the small villages that I love to see up close. The distances are not so great and we didn't drive more than three hours to get from any one place to the next and mostly, the times were much shorter than that. Thanks to D for the great job in driving and to Lupetto for getting us to all the places with no breakdowns.

There are some great bike routes here in Oberbayern/Niederbayern.
TAXIThe site of the Elefantentreffen may be very crowded. So in the rush hour you can have some trouble to find a taxi.In the pic you see one lucky man who got it.

This is the new modern airport of Munich. Not exactly in the city, but easy connection by public trsnasport from any big city in Bavaria.

If you wanna visit Germany's highest mountain, you can take the little train from Garmisch or from Eibsee. The cable car is closed in early november

We rented a little car to take us on our journy around Bavaria. The cost was arounf 45$ a day and it was alot of fun. Ask for the upgrade with Avis to the A-class.
