It was very impressive to stroll over the market place to the Schnoor and through the Böttcherstrasse. I cannot say, I had most liked what of this. Everything is together well, the complete impression which these marvellous historical buildings leave.
Fondest memory: I was horrified about the numerous beggars, homeless persons, this glaring contrast in Bremen between poverty and abundance. On one side's big palaces made of glass, on the other beggars being cold on the bridge. Some in the light, the others in the shaddow. And then the doubts, whether I shall do, what they would do or whom I should give this Euro? Helping a little? All I could not help.
It is my fondest wish that such things would have an end in such a nice town. I know... only an unreal dream.
