The city looks so nice in the old waterhouse quarter and the little canals. In fact, half of the city surface is made up of green or waterways.
Hamburg is also one of the greenest cities, with many parks, as Alster Park (with Alster Lake too. I had seen squirrels climbing on the trees there).
Make a visit to the Ohlsdorf cemetery (2nd largest in the world!) and the zoo (with over 2.000 animals!).

Hamburg Titanic Exhibition

The Titanic exhibition which was in Hamburg back in 1998. They showed a lot of things they found near the wreck. It was really exciting, thrilling, sad and interesting - I went there three times!!!
(I made the graphic with pictures from the brochure because you were not allowed to take pictures inside the exhibition unfortunately)

Talking to Evan Dando, singer of the Lemonheads, before their concert in Hamburg's Markthalle in 1993!!! He started talking to me and at first I didn't even realize it was him (he had cut his hair). All the teenagers around hated me ... hahah What a day! How lucky I was!!! The concert was brilliant as well!!

Hamburg's Michaeliskirche is surprisingly pretty for the north of Germany, which is not so known for beautiful churches. It is without a doubt Hamburg's most famous church, to be found close to the city center and the harbour.

Europe's second largest port (the 1st is the one of Rotterdam) offers many different harbour tours. The fish market at the oldest open-air market, dating back to 1703, is a "must" (Fish Auction Hall). The old Elbe tunnel is 24 m below the river, there are two tunnels which lead at the southside of Elbe.
