The current resident musicals for Hamburg in 2008 are:
THE LION KING: ( S Bahn 1, 3 or U Bahn 3 to Landungsbrücken, then take "Lion King Ferry" across the River Elbe to the venue)
Tickets for musicals are most easily found at the general box office in the central station Haupbahnhof, which sits directly across from the DB Train booking office. At this box office you can also find out what other plays are in town, as well as tickets for dance, classical, and international pop concerts in large and small venues.
Dress Code:
Hamburg is a smartly dressed town, but can also lean towards trendy casual. Jeans are often fine in many places, but it's best to leave the sneakers in the suitcase on theatre nights out.
Hamburg is very popular to visit a musical. In early times there are the popular musicals " Cats" and " Phantom of the opera". At the moment you can choose between "Mamma mia" (music of ABBA), "King of the Lion" and "Tanz der Vampire". I was in the last one and the music - show there great. This one is in the area Altona near the Holsten Brewery.
-You have the possibility while you are here to visit several Musicals like Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Carmen, and Buddie Hollie.
