This is something that really caught my attention. A man standing on a platform in the middle of Elbe and watching the ships coming. He was moving with the waves and everytime I feared that he might drown until I was told that this was actually a plastic man and not a real one. It was unbelievable.

its a museum of old ships at Ovelgonne. Old ships that are testimonies of work and life, of art and craft and the technical development of maritime history, are precious things but there are no monuments for old ships. Therefore this Museum was built sometime around 1975 and in course of time it acquired many old ships to prevent them from decay and keep them in still running condition. This museum pays a tribute to the values of traditional seamanship.

Ovelgonne presents a beautiful view of small and beautiful fishermen's houses of a very old architectural pattern. It's colourful. Roads are narrow and beautiful and bounded on both sides by small bushes and flowers. Many houses sell items like old books, jams, etc.

This is a nice piece of architecture at Ovelgonne. Its a nice building with many offices in it. It resembles a ship in its size, shape and look and presents a great sight from a ship passing across. We took these photographs from a ship while approaching the Beach.
