The Fossils Museum is the baby pink house at the back .
It contains over 1500 stone fossils perfectly preserved in the Kalk stone of Braunenberg above Wasseralfingen .They were living once in the warm tropical Jura sea of the Aalen bay some 140-185 Million years ago. The museum is the biggest one of that kind in South Germany

Located in the center of the square, the statue of the golden Emperor Friedrich II , ( under its reign the town was founded ) watches over the pedestrians from the top of his fountain

A golden sheep sign on the Rechsstädter Strasse - I saw it on the broshure about the state afterwards - must be something characteristic for the town. For my part I liked more the hearts in the window wooden covers....

It is unusual to see a british phone cabin in the center of Aalen , at the start of the pedestrian zone , on the way to the bus station....Go figure how it landed there....

The Beautiful castle outside of Aalen was standing on my right side on the way to Abstgmünd while taking the bus.

At the feet of the king's fountain you can see the coats-of -arms of the city of Aalen and the 7 communities belonging to it . I always liked to observe those signs
