I didn't have a Dog with me, perhaps, you will have. Scattered around Baden-Baden, are these Drinking stations for dogs, so there is no need to worry about your Dog becoming dehydrated through lack of water!
Good idea in a country where Dogs often go on holidays with their owners!

Sreet entertainment in the old town

The pedestrianised area of the town is an enchanting array of little streets and beautiful shops. The windows are done up to encourage you to go in. Mind you a lot of the things do not have prices of their goods displayed which probably means the ordinary tourist cannot afford what is on offer. No harm in looking though! When we visited in June there were a few street entertainers in the town.

    Baden-Baden is expensive

Baden-Baden is expensive. You expect that. Any town that puts that kind of emphasis on being upscale is going to come with a big price tag.

So fill up on supplies before you get there -- Karlsruhe is a good supply-point. It's also convenient by train or auto.

As for water, try some of Baden's finest!

... well, that's how to characterize posh Baden-Baden 'in a nutshell'.

The flea market in front of the Trinkhalle takes place on Saturday mornings.
