It is a great experience to stay in this hotel for 3days just to try the spa and the famous restaurant of the Sackmanns. The hotel started in 1928. The whole interior is old and so does the restaurant, very typical and traditional furniture. A romantic set up, silver cutlery and warm lighting. The paintings are old portraits of the family Sackmann who has been in the business for so long. They were always there to chat with customers especially chef Jorg. The food is superb. The taste and the creativity of the chef is excellent in my own opinion. The service staff knows the details of serving and always alert. The selection on the menu are mostly meats like deer/venison, rabbit, cow, lamb etc but what makes it special is the combination of ingredients, the way they were cooked and the taste of the sauces. I just love it! The deserts were very good too, the tiramizu, the cakes, the pies etc The wine selection is fantastic! vintages from 1980's,90's, mostly French, quite expensive but worth trying. Overall pricing is considered average in the area. I went 3 times to dine with very close friends.
Favorite Dish: Deer w/chanterelles and Roasted Cow loin

Leo's is a high quality cafe, restaurant and bar in Leopoldsplatz, virtually in the center of Baden-Baden.
During the summer one can find sets of tables on the pavement for people enjoying light meals and a coffee, but all year round the atmospheric restaurant invites diners for delicious local food prepared in a stylish and modern way. The restaurant has a moderate selection of dishes promoted in the menus (available in several languages) and each day has a wide range of tempting specials. Furthermore the restaurant has a good selection of quality local and worldwide wines.
I recommend Leo's as a sophisticated and quality restaurant for both business and private dining.

Icecream of excellent quality and taste. The place is located along the 'tourist highway' from Leopoldsplatz into the old town and probably sells th equivalent of an iceberg every day, so I was prepared for poor watery stuff but pleasantly surprised. Mango icecream that tastes of real fresh mangoes instead of sweetened artificial aroma, for example.
The place was busy, the waiter messed up his notes and so they forgot my friend's order. Grumble. After asking and reordering they finally brought it but she did not have to pay for hers. That's what I call fair treatment of customers.
Outdoor seating is a bit hectic and narrow - it is a pedestrian street but very busy. The interior is rather kitschy but somehow atmospheric, I liked it. We chose to sit indoors despite summer weather for some quiet and to get away from the wasps. Almost everyone else was outside, that's why the place looks so empty in my photo. It wasn't.

La Cantina Siciliana recently changed location (don't be mislead by their website which still bears the prior location!) The restaurant has a pleasant, Sicilian theme and atmosphere. The staff are attentive and friendly, and there is a great range of Sicilian and Italian specialties.
The quality of the food was excellent. We enjoyed a pleasant time at this restaurant.

Namas Kaar is one of two Indian restaurants in Baden-Baden, the other being the Taj Mahal. In my opinion, based on atmosphere, service and food quality, Namas Kaar is inferior to the Taj Mahal.
Namas Kaar is quite small, and the tables are quite cramped. The service was not friendly and the quality of the food was reasonable, but inferior to the other Baden-Baden Indian.

There are two indian restaurants in Baden-Baden, this one and Namas Kaar. In my opinion this is the better of the two.
The restaurant is located on Merkurstrasse, just off Lichtentalerstrasse. The atmosphere in the restaurant is reasonable, but not very stylish or romantic. The tables are quite small and I have felt quite crowded once the different dishes have arrived.
The selection of food is reasonable, consisting of traditional dishes typical of Indian restaurants in Germany. The quality of the food is acceptable, but not particuarly authentic.
I have been satisfied with this restaurant, and would take visitors here who insist on indian fare, although I would not travel out of my way to eat here.

I've eaten at Mama Lina a few times, both with business colleagues and with friends. The restaurant is located towards the end of Langestrasse, near to the new Holiday Inn Express hotel (beyond the Festspielhaus).
The restaurant is of a moderate size, with ample space for large parties but also with a nice atmosphere for romantic couples. The restaurant offers a good list of excellent pizzas, and also a nice selection of pasta dishes, fish and meat dishes.
I have always been very pleased with the food and service in Mama Lina and will use this restaurant again.
Favorite Dish: Great pizzas, great vitello tonnato.

Le Jardin de France is one of four Michelin starred restaurants in Baden-Baden, and one I have eaten at a few times together with business colleagues.
The restaurant is located in a hof back from the main road of Lichtentalerstrasse, near to Augustusplatz. In the summer the restaurant has tables in the pretty courtyard, however have only eaten there in the summer and dined inside the restaurant. The restaurant interior is stylishly decorated and appealing.
The food at Le Jardin de France is outstanding, the restaurant serves high quality, contemporary French dishes designed by the head chef Stéphan Bernhard.
The price of the food is relatively high, but is appropriate for the quality of the dishes and the restaurant.

I've eaten at Zheng's garden a few times, once with Chinese colleagues who were suitably satisfied. The restaurant is located in the first floor of a building at the end of the pedestrian section of Lange Strasse, opposite from the Wagner department store.
The restaurant serves both Thai and Chinese specialities, and has a good selection of more common (not contemporary) dishes. The menu is very large, offering dishes based on various meats and seafood.
The restaurant is typical of asian eateries in Germany, both in design and types of food. The food is tasty and the selection broad, but it is nothing special. The restaurant offers good value for the price.

I used to go there only for drinking a coffee. But this summer I realised that they also offer excellent meals and prosecco.
Every day you can choose between different kinds of pasta, antipasti or sandwiches.
