What to buy: James Rizzi is mentionned in the encyclopedia "Brockhaus" as one of the most important living artists. He has already been several times in Baden-Baden. He has designed the official poster of the SWR New pop Festival 2003.
In sommer 2003 they had an exhibition and I am sure that you can still see a wide wide range of cheerful, lovely pictures. I hardly could decide which one was my favourite.

Usually it is not possible to go shopping on a Sunday.
But the local retail dealers and the city council of Baden-Baden agreed on some dates when the shops can open their doors.
The next Verkaufsoffener Sonntag will be on 2nd November 2008. The shops are open from 13:00h to 18:00.
Since this is something special the people pitch into Baden-Baden like it would be the last time they can do some shopping. So please be aware that the city will be extremely crowded.

Baden-Baden's poshest shops are to be found in the Colonnades in front of the Kurhaus: fashion, jewelry, and stuff like that. Prices are, well, what you'd expect them to be. If you want to spend a lot of money this is where to go.
If you don't want to spend money, this is the perfect area for people-watching... Some people are seriously interested in all that expensive kitsch and nonsense in these shops. Amazing!
What to buy: Jewelry, fashion, accessoires, if someone else pays or you have just won a lot of money.
Otherwise, nothing.
What to pay: A lot
