Favorite thing:
Just around the corner from the Markt platz is the small korn Platz. Here you get an unusual view of the castle.
Also to be admired is Peter van den Branden's baroque madonna statute - built 1718.
Fondest memory:
The University, Markt and Korn Platz are the sites of christmas markets too in Heidelberg.
Favorite thing:
The modern fountain in the middle of the square is dedicated to well known humanist, cosmographer and Hebraist Sebastion Munster who created a wood cut showing
a view of Heidelberg in the 16th century.
The fountain consists of planes and arches symbolises the planets and a large globe is the earth which is so huge signifies man attachment to it.

Favorite thing: From the corn market you have excellent view of the castle ruins. There are many nice old buildings around here.
Favorite thing: This is a very beautiful fountain with the baroque styled Madonna. The madona was created by Peter von den Branden in 1718 under the Prince Elector. The fountain was completed in 1830.
Favorite thing: These little boys were attempting to climb this wall - at the kKornmarkt. It was fun watching them struggle their way up.
