Andrea Creation: The must go if U wanna shop for costume jewelry

by chicaalemana Updated May 10, 2013

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This is a tiny jewelry store on the main street in Heidelberg that you should not miss. The owner has a selection of different designers and thus ample variety in styles. She has a great taste in choosing the right designers and is quite good in judging in how far jewelry fits your type. A must go to drop in if you are on the way to the cathedral or the castle...

What to pay: There you find anything from one euro until around 150+

    old locks

There is this one antique shop in Heidelberg that has a wonderful collection of old keys and especially locks - a joy to look at! Plus the owner is very friendly and even helped us with cleaning this one lock which we had not even bought at his place - but he sure was enthusiastic about such a wonderful piece!!

    MARKETPLACE IN HEIDELBERG

IT WAS IN 1978 (WHEN I REMEMBER CORRECTLY) THAT HEIDELBERG'S HAUPTSTRASSE was turned into a pedestrian zone and..one of the most attractive shopping miles in Europe!

Today it is a PARADISE to stroll through markets, shops and boutiques.

International Brand names include all trade marks you can think of...

But don't forget the antique shops and avantgarde style fashion boutiques, modern designer jewellery and fine old porcelain, traditional and contemporary artefacts...

Loaded you will have to go back to your hotel....

What to buy: That depends on p and t......purse and taste....but it is a paradise so.....l'embarras du choix will make it difficult for you.......

What to pay: hèhè, of course you yourself know best what to spend.....

Christmas Markets in Heidelberg: Weihnachtsmarkt Heidelberg

by slothtraveller Written Jun 8, 2011

    Heidelberger Weihnachtsmarkt

Heidelberg's Christmas Markets are definitely worth coming to the city over the festive season to visit. Markets can be found 6 different sites around the city, including the Kornmarkt, Universitaetsplatz and Bismarckplatz. My personal favourite was the market at Universitaetsplatz as it had a younger vibe with lots of people eating, drinking and having a good time. It was also the larger of the markets I visited. Most of the markets are within walking distance of each other, but beware- if you over-indulge on the markets you might find yourself staggering rather than walking!

What to buy: Food and Drink- Bratwurst, Currywurst, Steak, Gluehwein
Crafts- Handmade scarves, candles, trinkets, purses etc.

What to pay: Food, drink and crafts more expensive than normal.

    Kaffeerösterei Janssen: Wine from Coffeeshop

by hartti Updated Feb 28, 2006
    Delightful Sellers

Hospitality, cheery and friendly sellers and good products. You may find coffee and tea specialities from all over the world. I myself do not drink coffee, but the variety of coffee types makes me almost coffee-fan.

What to buy: Tea and coffee in nice boxes:
    - Sunflower: Coffee, Tea, Marmelade and Bisquits.
    - Breakfast: Tea, Marmelade and Bisquits.
    - Coffee and Tryffelballs.

What to pay: I bought 2 bottles of wine, 3.90 and 6.50 euros. The other had Heidelberg-label. I gave those as souveniers, pity that I cannot tell anything about the taste. The boxes are 12-13 euros.

Käthe Wohlfahrt: A Huge Christmas Store!

by GracesTrips Written Oct 27, 2013

This is the Ultimate Christmas store. Ornaments galore! I could have spent a ton of money here but decided I would just two ornaments. Sooo many to choose from, it was really hard to decide. The further I went into the store that had many, many rooms, I thought I might get lost and not know how to get back out. Just this store alone is worth the visit to Heidelberg!

The door of the Swatch shop

The Swatch Shop in Heidelberg is the same as every Swatch shop all over the world - but I liked their door handle.
