by Todd64 The sign says it's a Pub, but it really felt more like a dark little restaurant. There were 4 of us dining that evening, and I'm quite sure that if you took all of our ages and combined them, we'd still be the youngest in there. I can't complain though. The waitress was cute and apparantly thought I was even cuter when I tried to order a glass of water with my Pilsner. I suppose ignorance is bliss. Anyway, we spent about 100 DM + tip in there so I guess this is why she didn't tackle me to the ground when she noticed I was pinching a handsome West ashtray for a souvenir.
I don't remember the meal I had; something like a very thin pizza served on a board, but I do remember having an Apfeldunnele which was really quite good. Leave a Comment Theme: German/AustrianPrice: US$31-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: Kreuzlinger Strasse 19

Cute little restaurant just off of Munsterplatz (by the big cathredal). Great food, nice atmosphere, and you can get an English menu if you request one...
Chicken Biriyani. Chicken and rice in a curry sauce, with yoghurt to mix in as you please. Very good.

At the marina, there is a very nice beer garden where you can look the sailing boats coming and going. And in the pub Exxtra you get the best Kaesespaetzle - a traditional food of south-west Germany Leave a Comment Theme: LocalPrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than average

This is a nice, authentic German brew house (brauhaus). They make their own beer on site, and have a menu filled with traditional German foods such as bratwurst, maltauschen, schnitzel, flammkuchen, and more.
I'm a sucker for Schnitzel. I get it almost every time I'm here. Friends of mine will go for a Flammkuchen, which is a thin bread dough (like a pizza crust) with cream, cheese, bacon and onions. Yum. Also recommended, if you have a few of you, order a "metre of beer". They'll bring out a big toolbox filled with mugs of their house beer.

Il Boccone is a new Italian restaurant in downtown Konstanz. In a huge new shopping building on Bodanstrasse, Il Boccone has a large cafe/restaurant downstairs, and a huge restuarant/lounge upstairs. It was a very nice interior, dimly lit for a nice atmosphere. The service is excellent, and the food is of quite high quality. A nice place for a romantic dinner. La Piazza is a pretty nice, affordable restaurant with a great location on the Marktstätte, right be the main train station. The food is okay, not great. It won't wow you, but it probably won't disappoint you either. It has a pretty nice decor, with a large outdoor patio in nice weather.
I had a Margherita pizza, which was okay, but I don't think I'd get it again. My wife had a salad and a plate of beef carpacio, which she seemed to enjoy, but wasn't wowed by. Sedir is a nice little Turkish restaurant in Konstanz. They have a variety of authentic Turkish dishes, all at great prices. I think there were only a few items on the menu that were over 10 Euros, and the serving sizes are quite large. Drinks were quite inexpensive as well. Das Voglhaus Café by VDElvis Das Voglhaus is a nice cozy café in the heart of the old town of Konstanz. Great warm atmosphere, with good coffee and snacks. A great way to spend an hour or so. There is also a store attached to the café where you can buy things like candles, garden decorations, and many more household items. There is also a small cafe in that part of the store.
