The restaurant Hilpert is located in Dittishausen and also is a guesthouse. They have a nice patio in the backyard - and we suddenly had some chickens walking around there. So you see, this is the countryside!
Favorite Dish: I had a pork steak with ham and cheese gratiné. There unfortunately also where some mushrooms that I moved away, but the steak was good – and too much! My husband had a pork loin in pepper sauce which was okay also. The salad upfront was already much so we were really full afterwards and rather rolled back down the hill to our hotel....

The restaurant Hexenschopf is located in the centre of Löffingen in the second oldest house of the town, built in the 17th century. It's an Italian restaurant but you get there all kind of local food as well. They don't have too much different pizzas but quite a lot of other choices, and for lunch they offer various set menus. And if you want to sit outside you can do so, but it's directly at the main street.
Favorite Dish: My husband had a Cordon Bleu which rather was a roulade filled with cheese and ham and I had Gyros which didn't taste much Greek but both was really tasty. And I mostly like the liqueur that we got afterwards on the house! :-)

This restaurant is located in the commercial area of Löffingen next to the Lidl supermarket. It's close to the federal highway B31 so if you sit outside you hear the cars. We first thought this will be disturbing but it wasn't that loud. They have a good choice of pizzas, pasta etc and quite a lot of seafood.
Favorite Dish: I had a salad plate which was very good, served with delicious bread. The bread was so good that the people next to us even wanted to buy some more for home. My husband had a pizza which he like also. I tasted a bit of the edge without topping and it was great!

The restaurant "Zum Rössle" is located in Löffingen-Dittishausen and from our hotel it was a nice 20-minute walk to it. It's not only a restaurant but also a guesthouse. There menu was very large and I did need quite a while to decide on what to take! They had a kind of "circus week" with some specialities, and among other things their standard menu had lots of different steak dishes where you always could decide whether you take pork, turkey, beaf or even tofu. Great!
My husband had one of the steaks and liked it much. The first time I had one of the smaller dishes, a toast with pork loin which was delicious. The second time I had a "fitness salad", a salad plate with a turkey steak. That was good as well, it only included some things that not everyone is eating, like beet root and celery. Actually I hate celery, but I just didn't eat it and still was full afterwards!

This is a typical "Black Forest" restaurant which was modernized during the last 10 years. You cannot just take your dinner here, but also stay overnight.
Sternen is located in Reiselfingen (4 km's SE of Loeffingen) less than 2 km's North of Wutachschlucht. That makes it a perfect place for your stay in the Loeffingen region.
I mention Sternen here because of it's great cuisine. Their cook manages to combine traditional Black Forest cuisine with rather modern dishes. No matter what you order it's a large portion and very tasty.
The menu offers cold small dishes, as well as big warm dishes and desserts. You can drink whatever you want, for example wine, beer, juice etc. They offer many different drinks.
Sternen is closed (for restaurant guests) on Wednesday.
Favorite Dish: I simply love "Rahmschnitzel a la Chef". Was the best dish I had recently. The Schnitzel was cooked with eggs giving it a great taste. The sauce included fresh mushrooms. In addition vegetables and self-made Spätzle (traditional noodles) were served. Before I got a little salad and a meat ball as "appetizer" (included in the price!).
For this dish I payed 12 €
