SAP arena is a great hall, it is the stadion for the ice hockey team (Adler), for the handball team (Rhein Neckar Löwen), it is the location where you can listen to concerts, David Copperfield was here, there was even a concert of classical music. Just have a look on the timetable of the website to look what kind of event takes place the day you are here.
If you buy a ticket for an event, you pay in the same time the fee for the tram. The tram just stops in front of the SAP Arena, it is much better than going there by car.
Dress Code: Just depends, if you visit a sport event, a show, .....
Well, I am not the girl vsiting each party. My daughter likes in summer time the Schneckenhof parties best. My students as well taked about these parties. They take place on Thursday evening, in the Scheckenhof, a yard in the university. Usually it is impossible to get cards the same evening. So make sure to take your ticket early when the Mensa is open.
When : Mondays, 21:00 to 03:00, Saturday's also but the schedule varies.
Observations : The music varies from Gothic to Industrial to 80's. The DJ will take request. The atmosphere is dark, comfortable, friendly, relaxed. Most people are friendly, and willing to speak English if you dont speak German. The dance floor is small, but there is usually enough room to dance. There is plenty of seating, couch style, and the club is somewhat divided by pillars and walls, which offers the opportunity to escape the volume of the dancefloor for talking. There is a game room in the back of the club which offers a Fussball table. Some of the cleanest club bathrooms I've seen.
DJs : DJ Jo and various others
Cover : 3 Euro
Directions : A38 exit from autobahn 6, direction 'stadtmitte' (approx 5 miles). At the city ring go right, direction 'Ludwigshafen'. Follow the ring around until you see the sign for A44. Watch the left side of the street, you will see a Greek resteraunt (this is the street where Genesis is located), then you will see a resteraunt/bar called 'Hellium' on the next street down. Look for a place to turn around and cross the StraBenbahn tracks, then find a place to park on the ring or within the neighborhood.

Dress Code: Door Policy : There is no dress code known, however, all are dressed in a dark fashion.
Drinks : Drinks are moderately priced, and all are available.
This has got to be the best bar in the world! You have a big market board with all the drinks on it and depending how much people are drinking your particular drink, the cheaper it is. For example when I arrived shots were 1 euro but a minute later it was up to 3 euro. This is the greatest concept for a bar, you pay the price the drink was at when you ordered it.
Dress Code: Dress is casual but if you are self conscious remember this is europe so casual dress is a bit more high scale than in the states.
A must see location of Mannheim. Cool furnishing, special atmosphere, a wide range of drinks/cocktails, every day has special offers, sometimes you can gamble for an addional drink... ContraN is famous for its Absinth... Absinth and a lot of other things you can buy at the ContraN giftshop...
Nice atmosphere, nice people, nice music - sometimes live music, nice food, cold beer and not expensive... During my years at Mannheim my favourite thing to do in the morning, in the afternoon or at night...
Pub at the 'Jungbusch' (a very multicultural quarter of Mannheim). Nice furnishing (as the name suggests a lot of 'blue'), nice atmosphere, nice people, nice music, cold and cheap beer (especially on mondays when there is an additional discount on beer)...
