The Cafe Decker is by far my coffee house, they make all their own cake's, pastries and chocolate's. You can either sit outside and people watch, or inside at the one of the nicely presented tables. The service is very good and friendly. The decor is relaxed and comfortable.
In September / October, their speciality is Schwiebel Kuchen a sort of quiche, made with the young onions, have a glass of Nuer Susser (new wine) a little sweet and rough, but give it a try. Just before leaving this year we tried one of their breakfast which included a small glass of sect !!!
This was the venue for a very special VT meet, see my travelogue.
Favorite Dish: I enjoyed their Ice becker (ice cream, cherries, snaps and cream).Kaise Kuchen mit slag, chocolate cake and every thing else !
They serve a variety of tea's or infusions, hot chocolate, coffee and fruit juices + the local wine.
We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel where we overnighted.
I felt not at ease to take a photo of this beautiful restaurant room. It was as if I would disturb the cosy atmosphere. But there is a very good picture on the website of the hotel.
For a dinner without Medieval feeling, one can also eat outside on the terrace.
Favorite Dish: What could we choose else than the "Faust" menu ? It was a 3 course meal with a choise of different wines. The meal was good, but the wine was excellent.
