visit the various castles in and around the city. The new palace for example:
it reflects a lot of French influence. Today, in the central building, it houses the rooms for the representatives of the State Parliament; in the side wings the Inland Revenue and Cultural Ministries. As it leads up to the 'Small Palace Square' (pedestrian precinct called Kleiner Schlossplatz) there is a large statue by Calder, the 'Mobile', and other sculptures by Hrdlicka and Hajek.
Photo: Hohenzollern Castle is the ancestral seat of the German ruling dynasty.
Baden - Württemberg is an important business and industrial location as well; global companies such as Daimler - Benz, Bosch and Porsche have their headquaters here.
Fondest memory: Situated in a picturesque basin, the state capital Stuttgart enjoys an enviable location. From the * Liederhalle* concert hall to the Wilhelma Botanical and Zoological Gardens.
Graff Neeperg's Castle (sorry for spelling by now - I will check)
Thanks so much to graff for his kindness. In spite of his businesses and lots of work to do he has invited us to visit this 900 years old tower.
Favorite thing: Visit the Altes Schloß (Old Castle) which is situated next to the Schloßplatz in the city of Stuttgart !!!
