The Stuttgart area is probably one of the warmest parts of Baden-Wuttemberg with suggested average warm summers and reasonably mild winters, although snowing to me doesn’t represent mild and it can get as low as -9C. Temperatures can range from 20C in summer down to 1C in winter. Generally July and August are the warmest months. Stuttgart area also seems to have less rainfall than the rest of the region.

Dress Code : Casual clothes, including jeans, are perfectly acceptable for wandering around the city and at restaurants and cafes for informal dining, but in the more upmarket restaurants and bars men will be expected to wear a jacket and tie. German women on the whole do dress well and will choose formal clothing for social functions.
