This years Xmas deco by sniem Merz and Benzing is one of those shops you enter without really having a need to buy something unless your searching for a present. But once your inside you see all those beautiful things you might not even known that they exist before, you suddenly realize you have to have them. But often I just go in there without buying anything just to get inspired how to decorate a table or the whole apartment for christmas. Or to look at the beautiful books they have for cooking, interieur design etc.
They have everything for the house glas, ceramics, silver, table linen, beautiful books for children and adults, decoration stuff depending on the season, furniture. Right at the entrance they also have a flower shop and make the most beautiful bouquets in Stuttgart

Schwaben Galerie by JimKnopf This is the new shopping place in Stuttgart Vaihingen. Shoes at Deichmannand Werdich, the supermarket Kauflandand and Aldi, chemist's shop dmeyeglasses at Apollo-Optik, clothes at TAKKO and Roeder, electric mall MediaMarkt, books at Weltbild, bank LBBW and some other small shops and restaurants.
Nothing mind, good for the people they lives in Vaihingen. The architect slept at his drawing table when he planned the shoping centre. It is the smallest big shopping centre that I ever saw. If you are coming not from Vahingen, try to drive with public transport to the Schwaben Galerie, the park places in the shopping centre is expensive. It is very unalluring. With car from the highway the main street into Vaihingen and you will see it.Website: www.schwabengalerie.com

If you leave the Train Station you stumble right onto the Koenigsstrasse which is Stuttgarts main shopping promenade. It's pedestrian area so you can stroll along. Here you have everything from large department stores and the big international chains like GAP, Zara, Footlocker to small boutiques. If its warm shopping tired male partners can be left at the Schlossplatz to take a nap in the gras or a beer at one of the outdoor cafes.
Pretzels - they are from here and what you get in the rest of the world is mostly crap. Leave a Comment Theme: Department Store

If you walk along the mainstreet: 'Königstrasse' you can spend a day or more for shopping clothes... Leave a Comment Theme: Women's Clothes

This is a great Turkish/Middle eastern shop. There is a bakery in the front facing the street and the grocery is almost hidden behind it. It's a find! They have the big Turkish flat breads baked daily for 1 €. The veggie are fresh and it's very open marketish. They have tons of cheeses, a butcher that mostly sells lamb. There are tons of grains, pickled veggies, and the sweets from those areas. IT's great! Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Reutlingen HBFDirections: Just around the corner from the train station, across the street, kitty corner from Galleria. Can't miss it! Right across the street from the Call shop in Reutlingen . There is a huge parking lot behind it too that is next to the rail station.

Breuninger is the biggest department store in Stuttgart and the best place for buying clothes, shoes, handbags, etc. The shop assistants are very friendly and helpful. There are several places in the store where you can stop for a cup of coffee and the nicest is the cafe on the ground floor where you can listen to live music as well. Breuninger is near the Rathaus (city hall). Leave a Comment Theme: Department Store

Organic produce has taken off in a big way in Germany, you will find 'bio' grocery stores everywhere you go.
This grocery store near to the town hall has an excellent selection of biscuits, wines, local liquers and other treats to take home plus all the bread, cheese, fruit, salads and meats you'd need for a hearty picnic. It is open Monday-Friday 9am-8pm and Saturday 8am-8pm. They do not accept payments by plastic though!
Don't forget that buying a bottle of water attracts an additional 'deposit' charge Leave a Comment Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Konigstrasse 27-29 70173 StuttgartPhone: 0711 2200 7680Directions: Despite the Konigstrasse address, they are actually in an alleyway between Konigstr and the Marktpl (Schulstrasse, I believe this alley is called, it's a pedestrian courtyard with lots of other shops and takeaways)
