Berlin has several airports, the biggest are Tegel and Schönefeld I think.
To get around I recommend to take the subway! Should be the fastest as well as easiest way.

There are 3 international airports in Berlin: Tegel (north), Tempelhof (centre) and Schonefeld (south). Nearly all big carriers have connections with Berlin.

Interminal border crossings at East German checkpoints can be averted by taking a plane to Berlin Tegel, just like during the Berlin airlift!
