Favorite thing: You can see the TV tower on the Alexanderplatz from many places in Berlin, its 368m high. The viewing platform is at a height of 203 metres and it was built between 1965-69.
I was there as child on a class trip. No fear of heights at this time, but now ... so at least for the moment, no way to get me up there again *g*

    How to get there?

    S-Bahn (suburban train) "Alexanderplatz" S 3, 5, 7, 9 75
    U-Bahn (underground) "Alexanderplatz" U2, 5
    Tram: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
    Bus: 100, 157, 200, 348

    When to go there?

    Daily Opening Hours:
    March - October: 9.00 am - 1.00 am
    November - February: 10.00 am - midnight

    What to pay?

    Adults: 6,50 EUR
reduced until 16 years: 3.00 EUR

    Berlin Tower

Favorite thing: Take the lift to the top of the Berlin Tower and you will get a wonderful view of the city. The tower is 368 metres high and costed us about 8 DM to take the lift to the top.

I thought I would be scared of heights up on top of this tower but it was pretty good...the view is great from up there, we had a great day and could see a long way...it was well worth going for a look.

Fondest memory: The view from the TV Tower.
We visited the TV Tower on a sunny July evening just before dusk. As we went around the observation deck, dusk started to set in and the lights of Berlin started to come on, yet we could still clearly identify all the sights. When we had completed the circle, darkness had dropped and all the lights of the City were on, so we went around again. Truly a memorable experience.

Favorite thing: The TV tower , the 8th largest tower in the world, with a hight of 368 meters (A Spaceneedle) ,here you can view Berlin while rotating at high altitude and relaxing with a cup of ( expensive) coffee. (16% tax)
    Adresse: Alexanderplatz, 10178 Berlin

Fondest memory: To return to a free Berlin where the Wall (1961-19891) is now only a tourist attraction. I can't describe the feeling of seeing the Wall that seperated family members. I am so thankful to God for Freedom.
To see a modern city under construction, old buildings being renovated and preserved, next to high towering glass skyscrapers.
