Fondest memory: Nothing
Sit down outside the Kaiser Wilhelm Kirche and watch people go by.
Fondest memory: Getting horrible service at a cafe across the street from the Siegessäule on a beautiful sunny day. Watching the waiters get mad at non-customers wanting to use the restrooms while paying too much for a beer.
Take a tour of the entire city and go through the Brandenburg Gate. So much history and to go through it and imagine what it must have been like during the war. There is so much left untouched since the second world war and it's just amazing to see. There is a section of the Wall left standing as a reminder of what happened and it's awe inspiring to see. You get a good feeling knowing you are free to come and go as you please.
Fondest memory: Being able to visit Berlin in good times of freedom and standing where history was made. Going to downtown Berlin at night and seeing all the shops on the KuDamm and just taking in the nightlife there.
Favorite thing: Red squirrels are rare sight in the UK where they have been displaced by their imported grey cousins from the USA. I saw this red squirrel in the Botanical Gardens in Berlin.
Fondest memory: Seeing U2 in a great concert at 'Waldbühne' in July 2001. One of the best shows I have seen by them....
When we arrived it was midnight, the night between years!
The view from the plain was spectacular!
This one is from when we got back!
Fondest memory: O.K. i know you can't all do this but the heading does say 'fondest memories of Berlin' and one of mine is dinner with friends in Berlin!
Find some good friends, to go on tour with you! What you do, does not really matter... Something will always happen to you, just because you are here!!!
Fondest memory: The flair of the city!
