Wasabi is a small Asian style sushi bar, with a variety of dishes from Japanese,Thai and Vietnamese to choose from.I was interested in the sushi on offer, and there is a great selection from Maki rolls to Tempura. The young staff were very helpful with advising about the size of portions etc, especially as we were very hungry after a busy yomp around the city.
Washed down with a couple of beers,it was just enough to stem the appetite before taking a siesta, and then heading off for the bright lights of Berlin.
Favorite Dish: My travelling companions were not too familiar with sushi and the like so we decided on a selection of various maki rolls, tuna, eel, squid and a portion of salmon and avocado sushimi, which was, I must say, enjoyed by all, judging by the empty plates anyway !
This was all helped,I admit,by the glorious weather,24o,not a cloud in the sky,its no surprise our German friends always look well tanned................or is that because they own Majorca ?
It was a great reason to ask for more drinks aswell, and the price was more than reasonable
experimental 'asian*' cuisine, i was pleasantly surprised by the most creative dishes i've encountered in a long time. the chef mixes indonesian food with chinese and korean and japanese and the result is quite amazing, although each genre seems as different from each other as different could be! beautiful mod interior. Not only that, a real rice queen works there and plays such poppy mod hits as 'the boy from ipanema' *this gets extra points because many vaguely 'asianish' foods in Germany can be frightening experiences
Favorite Dish: lychee duck & lychee wine! mmmmmmmmm chopstick lickin' good
