XII Apostel, Berlin

What can I say about this restaurant, except I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality food that was served at this restaurant. I was visiting the musuems on Museum Island nearby, and I wanted to have a late lunch when I stumbled across this restaurant underneath the SU bahnhof line. The inside seemed cavernous with its high ceilings, murals, dark wood and potted palm trees. The service was excellent, the food came in large portions, and everything was well made - and tasted great. When I visit Berlin again, I will definitely seek this restaurant out for another great meal.

Favorite Dish: For lunch I selected something from the fish section, Salmone Griglia, which consisted of two large grilled salmon steaks covered with a lemon-butter sauce served with a large mixed green salad on the side. The salmon was excellent, and the salad was enormous containing also tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, etc. with a vinagrette dressing. They were together on one huge plate. I washed it down with a Berliner Pilsner, of course. I had to stay for dessert when I saw that they had Creme Caramel on the menu. It was smooth and creamy and went very well with a Latte Macchiato.

There are a lot of really good restaurants and chaep,too.But there is one Pizza place and it called 'Zwoelf Apostel',they make the best Pizza in town and they just have the extra large version.They got three places Savignyplatz(S-Bahn station),S-Bahn station Friedrichstrasse 5 min. walk and Frankfurteralle(subway station Frankfurteralle).
There also good Indian, Chinese and and restaurants in Prenzlauer Berg,Kreuzberg,Mitte and Friedrichshain.
At the Kollwitzplatz in Prenzlauerberg are a lot of good restaurantes (a very good greek) but they not low costs.

Die Zwölf Apostel - Pizzaria
Diese Pizza muß man einfach mal gegessen haben.
Die Atmosphere ist super, da es eine Einrichtung der besonderen Art ist.

Favorite Dish: Große Pizza mit Salamie, Schinken, Garnelen und viel Käse.

A very popular restaurant with young and old alike, although the location for me is a bit strange as it is beneath a railway line which can be quite loud?
