I found this chocolate store to be interesting. I never got the name of the place so if anyone knows please help me. It's close to Checkpoint Charlie.
**UPDATE**
Thanks to fellow VTer (thanks kimayer), the name of this store is Fassbender & Rausch.
Inside, there is a large Chocolate Brandenburg Tor; Titanic; and Kaiser Wilhelm Cathedral.
What to buy: Chocolate.
What to pay: Between 1 Euro and 1,000 Euro

This shop is really fab. It is a department store which has a food department, clothes departments, bags etc. It reminded me slightly of C&A. It isn't an expensive department store. When we arrived at the store there was a lady giving out glasses of free sparkling wine when you went in and there was a oompah loompah band walking around the store playing music. The food department is brilliant. It had a really big chocolate and marzipan section and lots of different types of Vodka including Caviar Vodka and Chocolate vodka. I bought some Bison Vodka which was really cheap and we bought some marzipan liqueur which was lovely. If I ever go back to Berlin I will definitely visit here.
What to buy: At Galleria Kauf Hof it is best for marzipan products, chocolate and alcohol.
What to pay: Not too expensive. I paid abot 9 euros for some Bison Vodka, the same brand was ?20 in Harvey Nicholls.

In East Germany the traffic light for pedestrians has shown a little green man walking, in West Germany he has been standing. After the reunification there was most ridiculous quarrel , as the some stubborn paper-shufflers wanted to abolish the East German walking man. A lot of protest arose and the little green man survived. You can buy many souvenirs with him. In the Hackesche Hoefe there is a shop which sells only Ampelmaennchen articles, even gummi bears, only there are no bears, there are Ampelmaennchen. It's a fun store and you can get some nice souvenirs there.

This is the only place in Berlin where i could find English literature. There are 4 levels of books, Music, Software, etc. Only one level of foreign books though, but thats enough. A wide range of Fiction, Non-Fiction, fantasy, & best-sellers are available, at reasonable prices too. I bought 2 books for €27, which is cheap considering that one is a relatively new release, and they're both BIG.
What to buy: Well, in this case... Books?
What to pay: Most of the books ranged between €10 and €20 for softcover, and anything from €18 and up for hardcover, new releases.

Görtz is a huge shoeshop located in the busy shopping district near KaDeWe. There are three floors, all filled full with shoes and boots. The store has also accessories.
First floor, as usual, is devoted for ladies and accessories. Children shoes are located at the basement and the men shoes at the upstairs. The variety of shoes is ashtounding. The brands include, among others, DKNY, Boss, Timberland, Geox, and Lloyd. All price categories, except luxury shoes, are covered well. Especially the sheer amount of children shoes makes this places worth a visit for families.

The Italian fashion brand Diesel has established outlets to all major cities, and Berlin is not an exception. Located in the prime shopping area on Kurfürstendamm and near KaDeWe, the Berlin Diesel store is a good resource for people hunting for trendy, yet inexpensive clothes.
As most readers know what kind of stuff is sold under the brand, I do not dwelve into details. The store itself is medium sized and has a good variety of garments, shoes and accessories for both sexes. The ladies section is slightly bigger, as usual. You just cannot have too much of variety within shirts, slacks and jackets...

Braude is a greater-than-average sized fashion shop on the busy Kurfürstendamm shopping street. The store caters both sexes and most of the clothing needs, including shoes and accessories.
The garments are trendy, not maybe ultra-trendy, but anyhow fashionable enough to be worn by even the most dedicated fashionistas. The shopping experience is also designed well, there are not too much clothes on the shelves for easier browsing.

The Mexx store on Tauentzierstrasse near KaDeWe is a really huge for a Mexx outlet. Sprawling on three floors, there are garments for him and her, and also for children.
The variety is wide and it caters all relevant categories of fashion. The first floor has clothing for her, the second floor for him and the third floor contains children stuff.
The children selection is especially extensive, and it is nice for once to browse clothes in a shop that has more than a few racks for children. Unfortunately, the Mexx children clothes have quite hefty pricetags.

Burberry is the flagship of the British fashion industry, recognisible with the Scottish styled cross-stripes. Their shop in Berlin is located on the busy Kurfürstendamm shopping street, among other luxury shops.
The ground floor is dedicated for accessories, such as bags and scarves, and garments for gentlemen. The upper floor has selection for ladies. The shop is big and airy, and the service is, once again, top-notch.

Kreuzberg is a paradise when it comes down to junk items, second-hand books, second-hand clothes, hard-ware and soft-ware. Whatever you're looking for, you'll find it in one of the many shops or at the famous flea market. Practise your bargain skills at the markets and buy some silly and interesting things at shops such as the famous button shop.
