Berlin Wall, Berlin
There is not much remained of Berlin wall, but you can see some fragments of it at the Potsdamers platz. You can reach this spot by S-bahn train no. 7 on a way to Potsdam.
For people of my age, visiting Berlin wall can give dozens of information about the history of world, when we were little childs
All around you will find remains of the wall, all covered with graffitti and so, but representing the history of that critical period in history.
There is no much wall still standing and this may be a bit dissappointing for many people. This is the largest piece we could saw, just adjacent to the Topography of Terror exhibition.
When walking around Berlin, also look at your feet below you: The outline of the Berlin Wall is clearly marked on the pavement.
Construction of this 166km solid wall begun in mid-1961 to prevent people leaving the East Berlin.

Ofcourse when you visit Berlin you can't miss the Berlin Wall... the wall was builed in August 1961.
On 9 November 1989 the Berlin Wall opened, releasing a flood of East German refugees...
This is one part of the wall thats still standing, other parts are decorated with murials for the people and by the people.
Visit the stadium, where, you can see Teddy bears from different countries, depicting the work towards world peace.
as reminder of the Cold War, parts of the Berlin Wall still stands. there are only a few remaining chuncks of it left. the pic shown is the longest section left standing.
The joy of West Berliners in the Fall was manifested in graffiti like this one, celebrating the first breach in the Wall near the infamous Checkpoint Charlie …
Many cities have had walls surround them like West Berlin did. However, this is sill fresh in our minds. We should not forget how it came about and how it went away...
This is marked in regular intervals, it is fascinating.
Take care not to get run over while trying to photograph the plaques...
A cobblestone path is all that remains. Here I am standing on what used to be the Berlin Wall. If I was doing this 20 years ago I would have been shot!
