What a tourist trap!

I went expecting to be moved to my very core with the historical significance of Check Point Charlie. I was expected to be awed at how amazing it was and how incredible it was.

I went there and I could barely move due to the swarms of tourists. I couldn't even take a decent photo because there was always a group of people standing in the way.

I had expected to check out the Check Point Charlie museum, as well.. NO GO! The place was completely conjested. People were pushing and shoving just to get into the door of the tiny little place. No thanks.

I'm not even saying that it was just the museum that was packed. it was the entire AREA. Absolutely unenjoyable.

There are also no places to eat or even sit and enjoy a coffee.

Unique Suggestions: go with a lot of time. be prepared to wait in line, or wait for people to GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!

Fun Alternatives: Walk along the trail of the Berlin wall, of check out of the many OTHER museums in the city. There are tons, and I am sure that most of the others are not nearly as packed.
