Ice & Art: Handmade ice cream

by alancollins Updated May 28, 2013

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

After wandering around Königs Wusterhausen on a lovely warm day I decided to pop into this Eiscafe called Ice & Art for some refreshments. As a lover of ice cream I thought I would try out a ice cream with summer fruit. It was delicious and to be extra naughty I decided to finish it off with a coffee containing Bailey's Irish Cream. The ice cream is hand made and there are cakes, local products and a selection of drinks. As the name implies there are also paintings on the walls which you can view whilst sitting inside the cafe or if you wish you can sit outside watching the world go by.

Favorite Dish: Ice cream with fresh summer fruit.

    Schlossrestaurant: Castle restaurant

    by Mandy23 Written Jan 8, 2005

The restaurant is located in the Kavaliershaus, a house where the guests of the king used to stay. It opened only a few months ago.

Favorite Dish: I had a meal with deer, dumplings and brussel sprouts. They also offered dishes with fish, different kinds of deer, rabbit, duck etc
The location is a nice one and the food was good but the service was very very slow and we waited long for the main dish, then dessert and bill, which is why I'll give a somewhat unsatisfied rating.

    Chinarestaurant Hong Kong City: Chinese?

    It's open daily from 11:30 - 23:00.

Last time I was there, was on Valentine's day and as you can guess, it's safer to reserve a table ;-)

Favorite Dish: I'll try to add some price samples soon. For me it's the #68 *g* - roast duck with pineapple & almonds sweet/sour (10 Eur) and for dessert icecream with hot cherries.

    Zur Eiche: family lunch ;-)

    by Mandy23 Written May 13, 2003

Well, we went there for lunch on the day when my cousin's son had his "Jugendweihe". First they served something that might be called "ChickenCocktail" ;-), then a soup, roast deer, ice ... .... :P

This restaurant has also a room where you can go bowling, a terrace to eat outside and you can stay there over night for 55€ (double room + breakfast).
