The Brandenburg ticket is a good deal for trains within Brandenburg. This might be a little confusing, but I think this rules out the ultra fast ICE trains (you don't need those anyway since you would be using those when you leave Brandenburg). As trains in Germany and most of Western Europe are extremely expensive, this is a nice price: 23 EUR for up to 5 people travelling together just about any day in the week...

The website is in German, but Interconnex is a successful, luxurious privately owned train company that crisscrosses Brandenburg and has nice and affordable connections to the Ostsee, Poland, Dresden, Leipzig and other places. If you are leaving Berlin the trains generally run once a day in either direction, and you will have to leave from Berlin Lichtenberg.
