    Plenty of green

Favorite thing: Surprisingly enough, this city has plenty of parks. The most beautiful of which has to be the Chinese Gardens - at the beginning of Bergerstrasse. It is small but ornate and very serene. The only thing that will break your concentration are the cute group of ducklings that splash around the pond. There is a rose garden right next to it, so if the asian gardens are not your thing you can switch without having to move too far. There is also a huge board for chess players!

Favorite thing: Sorry, this should be a "must see" but I have no space anymore :-)
Palmengarten is a bothanical garden located in FFurt; interiors are recreated (with climatic conditions) to host a lot of different kind of plants and flowers; the outside area is a nice park to relax and walk few minutes from downtown but in a "green" environment.
There is also a restaurant but it was closed during Xmas 2002 break :-(
Recently a wonderful Cafe has opened: Sismayer Cafe' ... try it for cakes and delicious outmeals

Fondest memory: Flowers and plants !!!!!!!

Favorite thing: The zoo is amazing. No fences between the animals and you! There are huge ditches so that the animals don't escape and people don't try to pet the animals. If you have student ID, or you can flirt with the ticket person, they might let you in for the price of a student. The zoo is huge, make sure you give yourself plenty of time to look at all the exhibits. I am not really fond of the whole zoo idea, but it is presented very well. I don't remember seeing any whales or dolphins, nothing that swims.

Favorite thing: Take a look at the Palmengarten. It is not very far from the city centre and the Main River, but it is a great place to unwind. What impressed me the most about this botanical garden were its vegetation and landscaping. It also has a sizeable pond and minigolf for those that are not interested in the greenhouses and such.
