Transfers from airport to city: Don't bother catching a cab into the city, unless of course, you are laden with a lot of luggage. Taxis to the city cost around 25 Euro. Instead, catch the train from the airport to the city. It's easy, quick and there is a station directly at the airport terminal. You will save at least 20 Euros (depending how many travelling). There is a Tourist Info counter at the airport/train terminal to advise travellers exactly where to go.

Here are some things I found out that might help you when you are planning to go to Frankfurt airport to pick somebody up or to fly somewhere....
If you can avoid it - don't park your car at the airport car park. I paid 3 Euros for 40 minutes of parking!! I'd say there should be a way to park the car outside the airport somewhere...
If you can't avoid bringing your car to the airport - go into the underground car park - don't park your car outside ... it's even more expensive there (2.50 Euro for 1/2 an hour!!!)
Before you go - check whether it's Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 that you have to go there. They are not really close to each other so you can avoid long walks or trip in the shuttle train.
