Heppenheim an der Bergstrasse Sports & Outdoors

The lake is not a natural one. I don't know exactly when it was established. But it is said that during highway constrution works much sand was needed and that's how the hole came. Now it is a place where people come to have a walk, go jogging or biking. It is just a place where you can relax. Some people even come for fishing but I hardly can imagine that there are fishes inside the lake. There is also a sailing club. But the conditions for sailing aren't the best. My brothers learnt sailing on the small lake and became very good because they joined many regattas (for example Kieler Woche). My starts with sailing failed, also my brothers weren't that patiented with me to explain how it works ... I really regret it!!!
