Athena was only one of the (copies) statues of an exhibition about ancient greek and roman antiquities, which had been taken place in Documenta Hall.
Favorite thing: This park is at the southern part of the city. Inside this large park, Siebenbergen island of flowers can be admired. Also, Orangery, the central building of the Karlsaue, which was constructed in 1702-1710.
This 7 m tall statue is the symbol of the city, an impressive landmark visible even from the city borders.
Hercules stands on his pyramid and observes the city, the view from there can be seen on the intro. There are cascades near it.
Favorite thing: It houses the Astronomy and Technology History Museum with Planetarium (Karlsaue 20c). It is an interesting place, even if you are not a fan of astronomy or science. This small statue is a miniature of Hercules monument.
Favorite thing: Wilhelmshohe is Europe's biggest mountain park, with castle Lowenburg too. This park is a unique composition of architectural creations, art and, basicly, nature in a perfect harmony. Don't you calm by such a picture?
Visit the large park with the Herkules outside the city see picture). Also the park 'Karlsaue' in the town. Also the many museums with old masters like Dürer, Rembrand ec. mrs. So you find Mrs. Tucher, the lady on the DM 20 bill in the Wilhelmshöhe museum.

Fondest memory: When I was little I was always fascinated with this monument. I don't know what it was, I just had to keep looking for it while I was strolling through the streets of Kassel. I think I really liked it because you could see it way up there above the city and it was humongous!
Fondest memory: With the rowing club we always did a training camp in Kassel and there was this great children's playground at 'Karlsaue'.
Favorite thing: I had liked a lot this exhibition about AIDS, it was interesting and you could learn even more things about the disease and, in general, the erotic life of people. Germans seem happy...
