Favorite thing: It is a nice experience, with good views, using a different mode of transportation. In Ruedesheim there is souvenir shopping City wide. But, for accommodations in a less touristy location, I prefer Assmannshausen 3KM down stream/north, 3 minutes by train.

Favorite thing: Rudesheim, famous for its wine, is plenty of shops and restaurants. While I was walking for its streets, there were some moments that they remember me the streets of "Costa Brava". Not for the architecture but for the style of those restaurants and shops.

Favorite thing: Riding the Seilbahn to and from the Niederwald over the vineyards provided amazing moments of peace between people talking in the gondolas that pass you and the traveling of the cable over the support. It was a nice respite from the bustle and noise of the town.
Fondest memory: The silence except for the wind when riding the Seilbahn.

Favorite thing: Haven't stayed in one of the hotels, but it seams that a definately must have for all hotels in Ruedesheim is to have an Indoor Pool!
It is proudly marked on the hotel signs! :-)

Favorite thing: The town is surrounded by beautiful vineyards. Walking around, when the sun is shining and the Rhein river right next to you is a wonderful experience.
