The local Transit Authority in southern Hesse is called the RMV, which stands for Rhein-Main-Verkehrsbund or the Rhine-Main Transit Authority. Basically it covers the following areas: Most westward point Mainz; most eastward point Fulda, most southern point Darmstadt; most northern point Wetzler. The big advantage of this transit authority, is that you can change from buses to trams to regional trains as much as you have to, to get to your destination, without having to buy extra tickets. Nearly all of the ticket vending machines are computer-run and have an English mask. You ticket is valid when you receive it, so buy it just before you want to board the train. the choice is your...Hessen has a wonderful public transport system and from Frankfurt, 30min the most...you are in the beautiful Taunus Region. Many of you asked me, what can I do with one or two days in Frankfurt..my advice, one day is quite enough for Ffm...of course NEMORINO will say otherwise..there is a lot to see and do in Ffm, but after 2 days.. get out of town into the lovely countryside...clich on the pic and you have a lot of choices by car or train. use the website below and go to the international site at the left hand
