every Summer big Kajak tours are held from Wetzlar on the River,short ones about 5km and longer ones, up to 3days into the surrounding and Countryside of Wetzlar
and even to the 'sister'City Giessen....people call, more sophisticated then Wetzlar, with University, Opera and other cultural events galore, but it was Wetzlar which once was the Brain of the area

Historic town which is situated on the banks of lhan river .Explore old town and d'ont miss the cathedral and the musical fountain which is found in the entrance to old city by the bridge

make kayaking interesting..but I only watched, because the rapids now and then need a bit expirience to negociate. my expirience in a kajak is nil
