A Bunker is the German word for air-raid shelter and that's what it is, or rather was during WWII.

Today it is used as a cultural multi-purpose event place, for exhibitions, readings, movie screenings (on Thursdays), rock and metal-parties.

A bar with a rather special charm completes the range. Beer, soft drinks and juices start from 1.50€ for a small bottle, long drinks from 2.50€.

    Opening Hours:

Tuesday - Saturday: from 8 pm
    Sunday and Monday: holiday

Dress Code: The clientele is mainly students, so dress as you like.

If you like a look into one of the more kinky amusements you have to see this nigth club! I have been told by a reliable source the it was one of the spots where the old DDR regime pampered its members/stasi and others.
It has live music and dancing the for people in the 40+ age.

  • There are many plebby venues...

by Mamuang Written Aug 26, 2002

There are many plebby venues like spacious discos and bars but some more personable ones. The student clubs like the 'ST-Club', 'Studentenkeller' for example though that ain´t really my music... Nice bars are the 'Café Central', 'Heumond', 'Warmbad', 'Krokodil' (where you won´t be bugged smoking your spliff) just to mention some. Rostock´s unique nightlife highlight is definitely the former fish trawler 'Stubnitz', a big ship where concerts, parties and so on take place!
    The beaches around town!
The old quarter of the city.

Dress Code: Dress as you feel like.

Well, after a hard day of sightseeing it would probably a nice idea to relax and watch a dramatic performance.

There's a huge parking lot in front of the theatre - and it's free!
