Arek's Mes is a little gem of an Imbiss (snack bar) specialising in middle-eastern food. Here you will find falafel, doner, and houmous amongst other things. It is very unpretentious and the landlady is very sweet and polite. The doner roll is excellent, as is the falafel. There is a small number of seats both indoors and outside. Recommended.

Theatre performances, ballet, a puppet theatre and the Lower German language Fritz-Reuter-Stage can be enjoyed here.

  • Speeding, car equipment, and road...

For those driving in Germany, let it be known that the german police are very hot on speeding. It can be frustrating to have to stick to a (sometimes) suburban speed limit of 30 kph, but you can rest assured that if you do get caught speeding, you will get hammered with, at the least, an on-the-spot fine. At the worst, they can take your licence...
