    Strandbahn Warnemnde

To get around you can take the Sightseeing train/bus called Stransbahn. It is a tourist trap, but at least you don't have to walk.

The Strandbahn starts at the Alten Strom and travels via the Mühlenstraße and Parkstraße.
Thereafter the small train goes along the weather station, the Kurhaus and "die Mole".

    Operating times:
    Apr-Oct daily 11.30AM - Midnight

    Tickets: € 2,50 (adult)

The best way to cross the Warnow River - you can use the street along the banks too, but it takes about one hour during rish hour and the ferry takes three minutes only.

    .
    € 0.90/person and €2.80/car

There are regular train services to Rostock from Warnemuende but in "The Good Old Days" there were international express trains to Berlin and Copenhagen! Hard to imagine it now.
