Ahlhorn is very rich in history; for example, it was a very strategic location during The First World War, when the 'zepplin' was used as a war machine. Ahlhorn was a very important zepplin base. The famous "Stovehouse", a home for retired Naval Captain's in the 1700's, sat right behind our home. The area is also rich in more ancient history.
