Bad Pyrmont's annual Asparagus-Festival on May 23 to May 24, 2009 is all about this fine, white, delicious so called "Feinschmeckergemuese" (Gourmet Vegetables) Asparagus. During the Aparagus-Festival dozens of boots/trunks at Pyrmont's Brunnen Street provide anything floral, crafted and items for deco, home made jams and liquids, living stocks, Austrian specialties, natural products from local farmers, and of course asparagus, asparagus, asparagus - particulary offered by the heavy aparagus producing company/farm of Germany - the Thiermann company/farm out of Kirchdorf. I never thought that I would like this park so, so much as I now actually do: The park's palm trees, the fragrance of the flowers, the peaceful atmosphere, the sound of babbling water and fountains, it's all to me like a door into a world of pure and quiet, a moment of escape into natural yet safe and regulated green.
