Most inviting part of this Restaurant Le Bistro, is the fact that they do make space enough for non-smokers by separated rooms. Means, they do not just squeeze non-smokers into a corner of a room full of smokers, where non-smokers get their nausea anyway by lack of fresh air. Just alone because at Le Bistro one is not exposed to unwanted smoke and stuffy air, eating there is very delicious. Also that restaurant is beautifully located on Bueckeburg's pedestrian zone in front of the marvelous town's church. The restaurant's name, Le Bistro, sounds French yet they cook Italian too. The food we ordered was really good. Great service, very friendly and attentive waiter. Had sort of French pizza (Flammkuchen) very much topped with sour cream, onions, slices of sausages and fennel. Fennel was al dente which did fit that Flammkuchen molto fantastico, then pasta with olglio e alglio, rucula, and pine nuts. Tea & mineralwater.

This beautiful restaurant is right on Bueckeburg's beautiful pedestrian zone and very close to the castle. The waitress was very, very nice. Great service! Great food! Having had such excellent meal, it took us by surprise that the restaurant was rather empty. Regarding their delicious menu it should have been quite crowdy. But then again we made it there on a very cold and stormy day. We had fresh salad served with hot bread - just love it, hot bread - and potatoes with cottage cheese, salmon, mushrooms, onions and sour cream, then tea and mineralwater.

Bueckeburg's Christmas Market is another of those traditional German Christmas Markets which puts visitors under its spell due to the enchanting Festive Season atmosphere the market evokes. No commercialism but a Christmas-wonderland the visitors find in Bueckeburg in the middle of the town's pedestrian zone around lovely Bueckeburg Palace. Beside various crafts, visitors also can enjoy much of the great typical German food.
