Just beautiful to sitting on the dyke and watching the cutters coming back to the harbour in the early morning hours. Watching and listening to the sea, for me its a dream.
You have to walk 20 to 30 minutes on the "Deich", the protection wall against the water to reach Fedderwardersiel. Early in the morning you can buy here freshest fish and seafood directy from the boat and there´s is also a little shop selling same fresh fish.
What to buy: FISH and SEAFOOD (especially little Shrimps). You can buy them with peel or already peeled as well.
What to pay: Not that cheap, but realllly fresh!!
do i have to say anything moer....in Germany it´s common to use a "Schultüte" - and here´s the translation I found in the internet - "large cornet filled with sweets and given to children in Germany on their first day at school".....;-)
So far I know I haven´t been born when this picture was taken. I have to put it here, it´s one of the coolest photos I know.......
Burhave is ubicated north of Nordenham at the estuary mouth of the Weser (river) in the peninsula of Butjadingen.
It´s a little village with all around 2000 habitants where in summer stay more than double tourists.
A lot of germans travel every year to Burhave or one of the other little villages nearby to stay with tents, rent appartments or they come with their caravans. You can enjoy the life at the beach with nice parties in the nights as well or have delicious fish dishes in various tipical restaurants, all of it very close to be able to go by feet to every place.
Fondest memory: my childhood
