No, the picture is not out of perspective, but really, Einbeck, too, has a leaning tower! The tower of the Market Church has been leaning over the years for I think 1.5 m!!!

The Marktkirche is a Protestant Church right next to the Town Hall of Einbeck.

Tidexer Straße is a street still complete with the old medieval houses!

Please note the huge doors in the houses: they had to have this size, so that the wagons with the beer barrels could pass!

I don't know, which of the things are out of shape, but fact is, that these medieval houses really tend to give in and start being "leaning houses of Einbeck" - or maybe the doors are!!!

stroll around the streets of Einbeck and have a look at the beautiful details that you can see on the fassades of the houses!

    Please note:
the ornament on the photo has nothing to do with Hitler or the Nazis - it is just opposite (like in a mirror) and a Germanic symbol of fertility!

Das Brodhaus is a traditional German restaurant and pub. It is a very nice place, especially if you manage to sit in one of the huge beer barrels and enjoy some Einbecker Bier !

If you take the train, you have to take one of those regional trains between Göttingen and Hannover. Get off in Einbeck and take a bus to Einbeck Mitte, which is the actual city of Einbeck

Favorite thing: It is not only that I grew up in Einbeck, but also the fact, that this place really IS wonderful to visit:

there are lots of historical places, old woodtimbered houses built in the 16th and 17th century and a wonderful surrounding! Have a look at the Einbeck website and then go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure you will enjoy your stay!
