Greetsiel Off The Beaten Path

This beautiful lighthouse is just outside this town, few minutes driving, or a bit more by cycling. As the region is rather flat, you can enjoy much more cycling this area and enjoy the sea and the nature.

The Pilsum lighthouse is really off the beaten path. It is not in use any more. But lots of germans wanna go there, because we know it from some movies with the german comedian Otto. It is even called Otto's tower. In one of his movies he tells us, that he was born there. So I had to go there to take a least some pics. We parked our car on a little parking and walked there on the dike.

Because of a movie they make here, this lighthouse has the nickname of Otto Tower, the name of the movie in German is: Otto der Au?erfriesische (I think)
